It all started when I was about ten years
old. My father handed me a hammer and
said, "I need your help." After that, I would work nights (after
homework), weekends and all summer long learning my future profession. After graduation
from high school, I became a partner with my father and brother-in-law, working as a
framer.
Then, in 1983, I started McKean Custom Homes
with my brother Rory.
As
you can tell, we are a very family-oriented business. We feel that we are different than other builders in that we take a
personal interest in every home we build. What you want in a home and how you want it built is very important to us.
This relationship with our customers remains a lasting one. We get no greater satisfaction
than being asked to "stop in for a cup of coffee" after we are done working.
We will build any home from the most basic
ranch-style to the most eloquent contemporary, and everything in-between.
We are members of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Pike County Builder's
Association,
the
Pennsylvania
Builders'Association, and the National Association of Home Builders.
